Notes:
1) Termination of Fast Charge on the 4-stage Fast Chargers is done primarily by using (1) dynamic inflection point voltage slope detection (negative 1st derivative of dV/dt) and also, if "Option" (see NiMH charger page) for thermistor detection in the charger is chosen, then fast charge is also terminated  by using (2) excessive temperature slope detection (rate of change in battery temperature) determined by measuring the rate of change in resistance of the thermistor. Safety backups to the primary fast charge termination method above include:
                       a)  "Negative delta V" and "peak voltage (or zero delta V)" detection and
                       b)  Timer controlled fast charge termination.
                       c)  Termination if the set point for "maximum allowable battery temperature" is exceeded (Only if NiMH charger type with thermistor detection in the charger is chosen).
2)  The battery AH rating divided by the charge current for the respective model will determine the selection of the "C rate" for the model to be ordered. Charge rates of 4C, 2C, 1.3C, C/1, C/1.5, C/2, C/2.5, C/3, C/4, C/5, C/6, C/7, C/8, and C/9 are "standard rates" available.  Custom "C rates", up to C/9,  also available for large quantity applications.  Call for technical support when in question.
3)  Click on Accessory Items for NiCd Battery Chargers to go to a separate page on this web site for some accessories that can be purchased to use with the NiCd battery chargers.

See Note 3

If a thermistor temperature sensor is desired in conjunction with a charger,  please go to our page on NiMH switch-mode chargers and use that type of charger for your NiCd battery system.

Knowing your battery's "number of cells and AH rating", look in the 5th column of table below for the AH rating to determine the "Charger Series and a model (charge rate,C)" that will be suitable for your battery and your application!
